Nansady Keita's Drumming & Dancing Holiday in the Gambia, near Sanyang Beach
Cost £700 pounds Sterling for drumming and dancing; £500 for dancing only; and £350 for non-participating guests
This winter Nansady Keita & friends are inviting you to join them for the ultimate African drum & dance holiday! Learn fantastic Guinean drum rhythms with Nansady Keita a Djembé Master of international acclaim, and his all time friend and Dunun Fola Alisan Konde (Guinea). Explore the rich and dynamic forms of traditional African dance taught by Marie Sylla (Guinea), and accompanied by both live drumming and the subtle sensual sound of Kora. This holiday provides a unique chance for dancers to explore their movement vocabulary with a versatile teacher who draws inspiration from African nature. Our resident Kora player and Griot, Jali Buba Badjie will be happy to teach kora and African song, which will fill you with joy.
