Nansady Keita - Djembé-fola

Nansady is a musician from Guinea who plays many traditional West African instruments including the djembé (hand-drum), dunduns (stick drum), krin (log drum), gheedunun (water drum), bolon and flute. Nansady is a talented djembé-fola (djembé player) and teacher of the music of the Malinké people of Guinea, West Africa.  He is available to teach at workshops, festivals, schools or other events, and to perform at celebrations.

 

Nansady is Malinké and comes from Sangbaralla, a village near Kouroussa, in the Hamana region of Guinea.  He is a member of a traditional West African performance group Fankabah in Guinea-Conakry, and he leads two ensembles in the UK, Sodeya and Meereeya Bedeh.  For Nansady's biography, please click here.
